The Kijana Initiative Organization (KIO) is a youth-led, community based organization committed to empower youth and women and strengthening community development through environment conservation, education and entrepreneurship. Kijana Initiative Organization Founded with a strong belief that youth and women are powerful change makers whom they KIO creates a platform to build their skills, access opportunities and lead sustainable impactful development initiatives within their communities.

To empower and capacitate communities particular youth, women and marginalized groups by strengthening their knowledge , skills and access to opportunities that enhance sustainable livelihood, social inclusion, environmental conservation and active participation in development process through community driven initiatives, partnerships and innovations.

To build capacity and empower community through education, environmental conservation, and entrepreneurship development enabling individuals especially youth, women and marginalized group to acquire knowledge and skills that support sustainable livelihood by promoting innovations, inclusiveness and community-led solutionon education, environment and entrepreneurship as to contribute toward sustainable development.

The Kijana Initiative Organization founded 2023 by young change makers who identified the need to create platform where youth, women and marginalized groups can learn, Innovate and lead impactful initiatives to their community. From grassroots initiatives to structured programs , KIO Continues to grow by partnering with organizations and communities to build a brighter future for community.

Since it was established KIO has focused on promoting entrepreneurship, life skills and digital skills training as a key tools to build youth self reliance and resilience. KIO believes that when youth are equipped with right skills, knowledge and value they can become true agent of change within their communities.
Guided by strong principles of inclusivity, innovation and community participation, Kijana Initiative Organization Continues to work with local communities, institutions and partners to create opportunities that enhance livelihood, promote technology adoption and support sustainable social and economic development.
